Overview

This policy explains what information Vigil processes when you use the cloud video recording service, and how that information is protected. It applies to the sign-in page and the Vigil applications.

Information we process

• Account data — the email or phone number and credentials used to sign in.
• Video data — live and recorded footage received from cameras linked to your account.
• Technical data — connection metadata such as timestamps and device identifiers, used to operate the service.

How data is used

Data is used solely to deliver the service: authenticating access, transporting and storing camera footage, and maintaining reliability and security. Footage is retained only for the period defined by your plan and then removed automatically.

Data protection

Traffic between cameras, the service and your applications is encrypted in transit. Access to footage requires authentication and is limited to authorized accounts. We do not sell personal data or camera footage.

Your choices

You can review linked devices and stored recordings from within the application. For account deletion or data requests, contact your account administrator.
